There’s a wide range of what we like to call “Pinterest Personalities”: the party planners who plan an entire get-together’s decor and menu around Pinterest boards; the home cooks searching for quick-and-easy weeknight dinner recipes; the fashionistas rifling for styles they can pull out of their own closet; the not-yet-engaged prematurely preparing for their happily ever after. Yet no matter which Pinterest category urges you to hit that “Pin it!” button, there’s no denying the social networking site bursts with creative inspiration. Drawing from that same vision, the Art & History Museums – Maitland hosts a Ladies’ Art Lounge, where you and your female friends pull from Pinterest’s DIY & Crafts category to make your own home decor pieces, jewelry and artwork. They’ll provide the supplies and a cash wine bar, and at the end of the night you post photos of your completed projects to Facebook or Twitter. Let’s just hope they stay away from those certain pins that are also known as epic Pinterest fails (we’re looking at you, yarn-covered balloons). – Aimee Vitek
