I wanna go! Bluegrass at Bok Tower

Anyone who's made the trek over to Lake Wales to visit the Bok Tower Gardens there will know what I'm talking about when I sigh deeply and say, it's just wonderful. With one of the most romantic stories - Edward Bok created it as a bird sanctuary on Lake Wales' tallest hill and was buried at the base of the tower that bears his name - I've heard in our region, it's very difficult to avoid falling for the gorgeous landscaping and lush Florida habitats there (like the view in the photo above from the gardens' "Window By the Pond" spot). Well, it seems Bok Tower misses me as much as I've missed it, because as some of you might know, I have an extreme fondness for bluegrass, and the event at the gardens this Saturday feeds directly into that interest as well: Foothill Bluegrass Band performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at Bok Tower Gardens as part of their "Live at the Gardens" concert series. I can't imagine a better way to spend Saturday. Anybody wanna carpool?
