The FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival is coming to town: Mark it on your calendars!


Hey boys and ghouls. It's almost that time of year again, and the freaks are out! With cameras! Here's the official press release:

The 8th Annual FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival

announces this year’s festival dates, Friday October 25 – Sunday October 27, 2013. This year the festival will be in a new venue located at the DoubleTree Orlando, 5780 Major Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819.

The DoubleTree Hotel, located at the entrance to Universal Orlando, provides a winning combination of comfortable hotel accommodations and the exceptional amenities of an upscale hotel. This captivating Orlando hotel delivers a refreshing blend of high-tech hospitality and sunny Florida personality in an enchanting lakeside setting.

The DoubleTree gives the Festival great accommodations for both filmmakers and horror fans attending the event. “We are very excited to be moving to the DoubleTree Hotel,” states Founder and Festival Director Robert J. Massetti, “As we continue improve the Festival, the move give us more opportunities to grow.”

Just named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s 20 Coolest Film Festivals and one of the 13 Horror Film Festivals to Die For! The FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival is a horror genre film festival founded by FEAR FILM Motion Picture Studio’s owner Robert J. Massetti. The Festival is part of Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend, which is the largest horror convention in the state of Florida drawing more than 15,000 horror fans annually. The convention features celebrity guests, bands, tattoo room, vendor room and huge after parties.

This year’s theme is “The Freaks Come Out at Night”. Robert Massetti, the Festival Director, states, “The Festival celebrates the art of filmmaking and expose audiences to new independent horror films from around the world. We are proud to continue supporting independent filmmakers and their work by exposing them to thousands of horror fans every year.”
