It finally (sort of) feels like winter, and tonight’s Chowder & Beer Festival at the Winter Park Farmers Market should help warm you up a bit.

No matter what type of chowder you fancy – creamy clam, spicy conch, sweet corn – a collection of Winter Park restaurants will serve up bowls of their own chowder variations.

Winter Park Annual, a local events company which, according to their Facebook page, offers “an upscale experience provided at an affordable price,” hosts this soupy affair, complete with chowder samples courtesy of local chefs from Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Taps, Truffles Grill, Fleming’s and Park Avenue’s new resident Galopin, among others.

The Holcomb Brothers Band provide musical entertainment throughout the evening. And because you’ll need something to wash down that steamy chowder, craft beer vendors like Harpoon, Sam Adams and Brooklyn Brewery will offer up ice-cold suds.
