Greenwood Cemetery, in the leafy Lake Davis neighborhood just south of Thornton Park, is the final resting place of many of Orlando’s ex-movers and shakers (moving and shaking no more, we hope). Here history buffs can find headstones marked Bumby, Boone, Gore, Lee, Lockhart and Parramore, among others – but cemetery walks are generally seen as a Halloween activity. Silly, really, because the 82 acres of grounds are lovely, hilly and peaceful, stuffed with stone angels and chiseled grave markers, perfect for taking pictures or making stone rubbings. If you’d like a closer look at some of these picturesque mausoleums and memorials, sans the ooky-spooky vibe, local review site Yelp and homeless outreach nonprofit Matthew’s Hope are teaming up to present a guided full-moon stroll this Friday. Just bring a sleeping bag, coat, shoes, pillow or the like to donate and RSVP on Yelp’s site. – Jessica Bryce Young
