Do you like beer? Do you like running? Then head to the Tap 'N' Run 4K

Saturday, Dec. 15 – Tap 'N' Run 4K

5 p.m.

Wall Street Plaza

Wall and Court streets

Some people enjoy a jog around the neighborhood. Others wind down with a couple of happy-hour beers. And then there are those who drink beer while running, namely the horde of belligerents who’ll be stumbling around downtown Orlando this weekend during the Tap ’N’ Run 4K. We couldn’t make this stuff up: Participants will make their way – running, jogging, walking, skipping, etc. – through a 2.4-mile course, while stopping at four “chug stations” along the route to throw down 4-ounce samples of beer. The finish line after-party at Wall Street Plaza lands runners a free full beer, and because the more outrageous team uniforms the better, awards will be handed out for prestigious titles such as “Most Original Team Concept,” “Best Belcher” and “Hot Mess.” All levels of runners are welcome, as the age divisions range all the way from “Never Been Tapped” (ages 21-25) to “Viagra & Hot Flashes” (ages 56-plus). Sounds like it’s time for a puking rally. – Aimee Vitek
