Sure, you could take the easy gift-giving route and be the guy who shows up Christmas morning with a last-minute gift card. (Boring!) Or you could head to Dandelion’s Sparkle Handmade Holiday Market, where you can shop for affordable gifts, all made by local artisans. If you read our coverage of the local makers’ scene, “Making the Best of Things,” Sept. 19, you know there’s a ton of cool stuff out there for the buying. This weekend, the Sparkle Market offers something for everyone on your list: For your kooky uncle, a vibrant illustration from Kittens of Industry’s Jaime Torraco; for your nephew, a hand-stitched Joined at The Knit owl snuggle buddy; for your sister, a wooden ladybug purse by DeTiki Custom Carvings; for your mother-in-law, one of Willow Moon Studio’s nature-inspired beaded necklaces; and for the grill master in your life, a repurposed Orlando Magic apron. It’s all there, along with live folk-rock by Sacco and Vanzetti, the Passing Afternoons and other bands, and food and drink offerings inside the café. – Aimee Vitek
