Star Trek: The Next Generation 25th Anniversary Event

7 p.m.

various theaters

Star Trek: The Next Generation has unofficially been the coolest brand of Trekkie delight for some time now, with its darker themes and less-rubbery green lizards. And now, Jim Kirk won’t be the only star captain who has recently appeared on the big screen. Two episodes of the TNG series, “Where No One Has Gone Before” and “Datalore,” will be appearing in theaters tonight thanks to Fathom Events. Each episode was hand-picked by Trek experts, and tonight’s showing integrates cast interviews and an insider look behind the making of the show. Set your phasers to nerdgasm. – Marcus Griggs
