Chillounge Night Orlando

Posted By on Wed, May 9, 2012 at 10:43 AM

Typically, the club and party scene takes place beneath a solid roof in a dark room with music beating so loudly you can hardly hear the person next to you. If that doesn’t sound like your cup of PBR, and you’re looking for something a little more Thoreau while still maintaining the chic party vibe, Chillounge Night might be your thing. At 6 p.m. Saturday, May 12, Lake Eola Park will be taken over by the third annual Chillounge Night. The organizers will plunk down modern furniture and décor all around the park’s grassy sections, making it look kind of like something out of an Ikea catalogue. Mood lighting will be installed, live music from local bands In Transit and Cnergy and DJ Baby Anne will make this sort of like a bourgeoisie picnic for the modern set. Food, a daybed parade (?), drinking (cash bar, and you’ve gotta be 21 to partake), a fashion show, chillounging all for $25 ($95 if you want to go VIP). Check out the website,, for more details.
