Ceramists are hot. (Don’t believe me? Look up Adam Silverman of Heath; or maybe Jonathan Adler is more your slip-glazed cup of tea.) And, OK, even if not every potter is objectively sexy, the art form itself has been reinvigorated by the current craze for handmade. Check out the spring sale at Barbara Bailey’s studio and Artistic Hand Gallery across the street – both spaces will feature deals on art vessels made by Elizabeth Maupin, Susie Vey (pictured), Chris Jones and other local big wheels. – Jessica Bryce Young
