Selection Reminder: Fiesta Medina today at Orlando Festival Park!

Posted By on Sun, Apr 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM

Sunday, April 22 – 25th Annual Fiesta Medina

11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Orlando Festival Park

2911 E. Robinson St.

As Orlando’s longest-running Latin festival (returning for its 25th consecutive year), each spring, Fiesta Medina draws in more than 30,000 Central Florida residents looking for a little connection to their Hispanic roots. The festival features live acts including Tito Nieves, Pochy Y Su Coco Band, Charlie Cruz, Tonny Tun Tun and others along with interactive displays, a kid’s area and authentic Latin cuisine (none of that “gringo” stuff like Taco Hell or Cuba Libre). So whether you’re there for the reggaeton, merengue and salsa beats, or for the deliciously greasy frituras, Fiesta Medina will definitely help cure your homesick expatriate heart (and stomach). And if you’re not Hispanic but interested in going, better brush up on that Rosetta Stone. – Veronica Figueroa
