Photo Gallery: Danny Rhodehamel's "Horrible Portraits"

Posted By on Sat, Mar 17, 2012 at 3:02 PM

Local artist Doug Rhodehamel has been mentioned frequently in this blog for his paper mushrooms and other whimsical installation projects. But did you know that Doug's brother Danny, who moved to Orlando in October, is an artist as well?

Danny Rhodehamel debuted the first installment of his "Horrible Portrait" series at Stardust Video & Coffee on Friday night. The deliberately-crude likenesses of Stardust's entire staff each took about 20 minutes to create; Danny told me the longest part of the process was "waiting for the paint to dry."

The exhibit will be on display for a month; stop by and see if you can identify your favorite Stardust employee. Hint: Doug is the one with no eyes.
