Monday, Feb. 27Fab Fringe Fundraiser 7 p.m. Hard Rock Live 6050 Universal Blvd. 407-351-5483 $23-$48

This year’s fundraising show for the 21st Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival truly lives up to its Fab moniker. It’s new Fringe producer Michael Marinaccio’s first one, and he’s playing on a much bigger stage compared to previous years’ insidery parties at Parliament House or at their Lowndes Shakespeare Center home base. Headlining artist Toxic Audio, the clever and award-winning a cappella group, will be ably buttressed on the Hard Rock stage by beloved locals Varietease, Tod Kimbro, Janine Klein, PB&J Theatre Factory, the Mud Flappers and others, with a VIP after-party (for a price) offering a chance to meet the artists and an up-close-and-personal performance in the smaller setting of the Lennon Room. It’s an ambitious undertaking that bodes well for May’s festival. – Jessica Bryce Young
