Saturday, Dec. 31 James Bond New Year's Eve Party III

More than likely, at some point in our lives we’ve either wanted or wanted to be (or both!) James Bond. Anyone knows it takes a lot more than a tailored tux, a martini and a handgun to portray the cunningly gallant spy. Tonight, however, all bets are off as Bond beaus and their slinky arm candy arrive in dapper black-tie fashion for Enzian’s annual NYE shindig themed “Licensed to Thrill.” Start the night with the titillating film that launched the decades-old series, 1962’s Dr. No, then grab a martini or a glass of bubbly and head to the dance floor to “shake and not stir” it up with music by DJ Alvin Mahadeo. If you can’t decide at the end of the night which Bond is your favorite, no worries: It’s you, of course. – Aimee Vitek (7:30 p.m. at Enzian Theater, 1300 S. Orlando Ave., Maitland, 407-629-0054, enzian.org, $20-$400)
