Fedde Le Grand

Now that the Netherlands has effectively killed America’s love affair with the Dutch by forbidding any non-natives (read: tourists) from smoking the sticky in their hash bars, we’re going to have to make due with the country’s few awesome exports – namely Rutger Hauer and house DJ Le Grand, a Netherlands-born swiftly rising club star who’s worked with everyone from Madonna to Al Gore. It’s been a big year for the guy: He opened for Coldplay, had five No. 1 hits on Beatport.com’s dance charts and played Coachella. Now he comes to the States before he begins work on his sophomore album, due next year. While that may not be enough for us to forgive his home country for its sins – you know, a little weed might help us forget about that van der Sloot douche, guys – it certainly helps. – Justin Strout (11 p.m. at Roxy Nightclub, 740 Bennett Road; $20-$25; 407-898-4004)
