Friday, Nov. 11The Cock and Gun Show

The Facebook page for this art show, thrusting its way into the Blank Space Gallery & Lounge downtown this weekend, describes it as “all things cock and all things guns

an art show completely devoted to penises, roosters, peacocks and guns.” (All created by women, by the way.) From what we can see on the Facebook pages of the artists showing here – including Dana Irving, Veronika Tuskowski, Maisy May Marrs, Tracey Brown, Tina Santiago and Denise Lefebvre – expect a colorful and lusty show. In addition to the renditions of shafty Saturday night specials, penis paintings and live art (body painting, that is) by Jessica Suarez, there will be penis- and gun-shaped snacks for your gustatory pleasure, a DJ spinning suggestive tunes, raffles and more. For all you cock connoisseurs, there will also be an art auction so you can purchase your favorite, um, piece. Start your Christmas shopping early.
