Orlando’s jock itch seems to be spreading far and wide this weekend, and we can assure you that, without a doubt, tonight’s Orlando Hurling Club tourney packs the most testosterone-infused punch. Never heard of hurling (not to be confused with the scrubby sweeping of curling)? We hadn’t either, but according to Orlando Hurling Club rep H. Scott Graves, the Irish sport of hurling combines “the skills of lacrosse, baseball and hockey with an axe-shaped stick.” And the game pretty much tosses out all conventional rules, creating one, big violent ballsy fumble: catch the ball in the air, scoop the ball up with your stick, strike the ball with your hand, shoot a crossover to score. Seem like your bag? Then strap on some cleats because, thanks to the Orlando Hurling Club, tonight’s your chance to release some frustration. – Aimee Shea (4 p.m. at Lake Island Park, 255 S.
