Maximino

Local resident and multi-instrumentalist Gerald Perez is making huge strides with his recordings as Maximino. His latest effort, Not So Cold, Cave, based on a psychedelic experience in the Marianna Caverns near Tallahassee, is a minimalists' exploration through subtle orchestration and washy effects. Perez plays every instrument on the record including cello, synths, voice, percussion and atmospheric treatments. At times somber but always satisfying, Not So Cold, Cave, is the first installment of a 2-part EP series. The second EP of the series is to be released within the next coming weeks on Glowmobile. Hear the record at Maximino's bandcamp page.
