You've probably heard by now that UCF voted on May 26 to become the region's flagship PBS-member station, in light of WMFE's decision to sell its TV license to Christian broadcasting company Daystar Television Networks.

WUCF has wasted no time in setting up a web presence to get people acquainted with their new PBS channel. There's still not a lot of detailed information about the station up yet – no channel number has been assigned yet for cable or satellite viewers who want to watch WUCF, but viewers using a digital signal box will be able to pick it up on channel 68.1 – but it sounds like WUCF-TV will operate like a traditional member-supported PBS station (though details about the membership structure are still being hammered out).

Viewers of WUCF's partner stations, UCFTV and WBCC, need not fear that they'll lose their favorite local stations – both will continue to operate after WUCF goes on air on July 1.
