Last week we learned that the FCC had docketed the sale of WFME TV, giving the public an opportunity to complain or object to the decision by Community Communications Inc., the station's nonprofit owner, to unload the station for $3 million to Dallas religious broadcaster Dayster Television Network.

The FCC announced that parties interested in filing petitions to ask that the sale be denied needed to file online by May 6; as of today (May 5), only 10 petitions have been filed so far.

Now an anonymous group of area residents who want to block the sale have set up a simple website with information and instructions for people who want to save WMFE from becoming just another mouthpiece for televangelists who want to send you straight to hell with an empty wallet.
