She’s an easy target for exactly the same reason she’s so damn easy to love. From an artistic standpoint, Ke$ha is virtually without merit. Canned beats, cheesy samples and processed vocals meld into a stereotypical yet wonderfully noncommittal mess of retro-futuristic sounds, like some sort of dance-floor time warp. At the same time, that dirty-glitter sound is backed by lyrics as gritty as they are juvenile, intentionally over the top both in their offensiveness and their ridiculousness. It’s like audible pulp fiction, slyly referenced as your connection to something so utterly devoid of artistry as to prove your detachment from the very notion of such concerns. Plus, you have to love someone whose idea of a great music video is cheese banter with that kid from Dawson’s Creek and rainbow lasers. –Nicholas Hall (with Beardo; 8 p.m. Friday, 8 p.m. Saturday at House of Blues, Downtown Disney West Side, Lake Buena Vista; sold out; 407-934-2583; hob.com)
