Just a quick reminder that TCM begins its annual 31 Days of Oscar programming schedule today, hosted by the great Robert Osbourne. The highlights of the day are Charlie Chaplin's brilliant but flawed The Great Dictator at 3pm, Laurence Olivier as the enigmatic Richard III at 5:15 and Paul Scofield as Thomas More and Robert Shaw as Henry VIII in Fred Zinnemann's A Man For All Seasons at 10pm.
Tomorrow night, Feb 2nd, highlights Jack Nicholson starting at 8pm with Five Easy Pieces, Terms of Endearment, Easy Rider and The Last Detail. Speaking of Jack, The Daily Mail just posted an incredibly candid interview they did with him. It's well worth a read. And just for parity's sake, The Onion's A.V. Club posted an interview they did with Robert Osbourne today, too.
If you don't have a DVR, you might want to invest in one because it's truly a magnificent schedule, but one that is impossible to keep up with.
See TCM's 31 Days of Oscar site for full schedule.
