Voting machine problems are already cropping up.

Posted By on Thu, Nov 2, 2006 at 2:00 PM

The Miami Herald is already reporting problems with the touchscreen voting machines in use during early voting down in South Florida.

Not suprisingly, all of the errors so far seem to have favored the Republican candidates, or so it would appear from this report.

"After a week of early voting, a handful of glitches with electronic voting machines have drawn the ire of voters, reassurances from elections supervisors -- and a caution against the careless casting of ballots.

Several South Florida voters say the choices they touched on the electronic screens were not the ones that appeared on the review screen -- the final voting step."

It's not a democratic republic if the elections aren't honest. The integrity of our electoral process is the only thing between us and despotism, and it absolutely must be protected.

Tried voting early? Seen any problems at the polls yet? Send us an email or comment and let us know....
