Review - Internal Dialogue

Artist: Internal Dialogue

A new solo project by Orlando resident Cameron Frink, "Internal Dialogue" is a far cry from anything easily dubbed the "Orlando sound." Obviously influenced by early synth-pop and industrial music, Internal Dialogue has a late '80s/early '90s vibe, a la Spahn Ranch or Depeche Mode. With surprisingly strong songwriting, Cameron projects a variety of powerful emotions -- ire, bliss, desire, melancholy, etc. -- through each of these 10 songs, ranging in tone from ballads to anthemic dance tracks. In a world where so many new artists record overly transparent songs, it is refreshing to hear an entire album in which the emotions seem so genuine.
