Beach House on the Moon
Label: Margaritaville
Media: CD
Format: Album
WorkNameSort: Beach House on the Moon

On "Beach House on the Moon," Buffett and the Coral Reefers serve up a colorful batch of new songs along with the requisite margaritas. Buffett's 31st release is a studio effort that is best savored with repeat listens. The disc-opening title track is a breezy tune that sets a tropical mood with savvy steel drums. "Math Suks" is humorous and mischievously amusing. Buffett sings John D. Loudermilk's "You Call It Joggin'," addressing an adulteress with the lines, "You call it joggin', I call it runnin' around." "Semi-True Story" has a country twang to it.

A Buffett album would not be complete without a food reference: "I Will Play for Gumbo." "Beach House on the Moon" is an enhanced CD that includes an elaborate interactive video studio complete with song clips. You don't have to be a devoted Parrothead to enjoy this Buffett outing.
