Review - Tiny Murders

Artist: Real Cool Traders

Posted on Wed, Mar 3, 1999 at 4:00 AM

Orlando's Real Cool Traders fuse pop overtones with rock influences to create the foundation of their first full-length record. The band's poetic lyrics -- laden with harmonies that fall just a bit short of the mark -- are sometimes hard to hear over the bass and drums. But guitar-driven songs like "Go" and "6° of Separation" are sure to get the band local radio play. "Deliverance" and the rock & roll toe-tapper "Down, Down, Down" are also standout tracks.

Although the apparently deliberate lack of focus may make it hard for Real Cool Traders to expand their circle of fans, diehards will be happy to add this to their collections. "Tiny Murders" is real cool, but will most likely be real traded at the used CD stores.
