The first full-length record from U.K. experimentalists Seefeel (self-titled, Warp Records) in 15 years finds them reinvigorated and truly inspired. The amount of textural achievements throughout is staggering: Feedback is spliced and utilized in just the right segments; Sarah Peacock's semi-processed vocals never intrude on their environment but add harmonic depth when utilized. The addition of former Boredoms percussionist, Iida Kazuhisa, was an inspired choice. Those looking for another Quique should leave all preconceived notions at the door.

Viernes' debut album, Sinister Devices, is out now on Kanine Records.
