Picks This Week: Yung Lean, Cyndi Lauper, Selena Gomez and more

The Moth and the Flame
Synth-rock trio that is trying their damnedest to bridge that bombastic gap between Bon Iver and U2.
6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at House of Blues, $23

Cyndi Lauper
Cyndi Lauper broke big with a certain new wave anthem extolling the virtues of women's compulsion to enjoy themselves in 1983, and she's still out there, most recently writing books and scoring musicals.
8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center, $39.50-$155

Selena Gomez
Singer/actress (and former Disney footsoldier) Gomez hits the Amway Center as part of her Reveal tour, on which she is stripping away a good deal of the choreography and trappings of previous live work.
7:30 p.m. Friday, June 10, at the Amway Center, $49.50-$79.50

Yung Lean & Sadboys
The Sadboys descriptor ain't foolin'; over glacial beats and electronics, the youthful Swedish rapper doesn't so much spit as droooool out his opiated rhymes. If it's all a joke then it's akin to how "Bela Lugosi's Dead" was a "joke."
7 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Venue 578, $20

The So So Glos
This Brooklynite brother act (+2) is entrenched in the NYC DIY punk scene, but new album Kamikaze promises an imminent collision course with the mainstream.
7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Will's Pub, $10-$12

Oh Wonder
U.K. electro-pop duo's show had to be bumped up from the Social to the Beacham due to demand, so you'll have a little more elbow room for dancing, crying, taking selfies, whatever.
8 p.m. Monday, June 13, at the Beacham, $16-$18

Control This!
Local ska kingpins throw a release party for their new CD, Long Road, and revisit some old collaborations with members of the Attack and Beebs & Her Money Makers.
7 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Will's Pub, $5
