; Do you ever wish Alton Brown could tell you why your pinot noir tastes different than a Bordeaux? Do you sigh at your morning cornflakes, wondering what Iron Chef Morimoto would create with them? Would you rather watch The Naked Chef than see one? You, my friend, are a member of the Food Network Nation, and you need to get off your couch.

;; No better reason than this food fight for charity, in which three chefs (Kevin Fonzo of K, Brandon McGlamery of Luma on Park and Laird "Duffy" Boles of the Beacon) from three Orlando neighborhoods (College Park, Winter Park, Thornton Park) will wage a good-natured war for the title of … best Park? Whatever. Each chef will be given four California wines around which to plan a few appetizers (and organizers promise the nibbles will be forthcoming throughout the afternoon). At 3, sommeliers will contend in a blind tasting. And at 4, Iron Chef: Orlando Battle will commence; the chefs will cook competitively, using a mystery ingredient revealed just 20 minutes earlier — celebrity judges choose the winner at 4:40. Proceeds from a silent auction will go to local charities. Come hungry. (2 p.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Beacon, 100 S. Eola Drive; $30; 407-841-5544)
