;Fat chicks dodge bullet

;It was all I could do to contain myself from erupting into hysterics as I read your story "No fat chicks" [Jan. 4]. Wow, [Kurt Spath] is a piece of work! His quotes at the end of the article about corralling the women together so he can "go hunting" pretty much sum up the reason the guy is still single. He's also rather unattractive, so the best thing he could do to help himself would be to cultivate a personality. The "fat chicks" must be thrilled to know they dodged that bullet!

;;Not gettin' this, Kurt

;This guy should sue his mother for not teaching him some humility and respect ["No fat chicks," Jan. 4]. I am a professional, THIN, educated woman in Orlando and why hasn't he found someone like me? Oh, wait … I don't have to join a dating service to get a date!

;He is a dime a dozen and the fact that he has a job and isn't an ogre isn't a selling point, really. Doesn't he realize that women who are successful and have self-respect wouldn't pay to date a douchebag like him?

;I do thank you and the Orlando Weekly for publishing a picture of him so we can avoid him at all cost. Watch out, he may sue you too. I wish him a long, horny, lonely life.

;What an ass

;;I just read your piece ["No fat chicks," Jan. 4]. You did a great job! This guy is a stupendous asshole. The company should give him the money back and be done with him. They should just get him out of the club and apologize to the remaining members for letting him join in the first place.

;;Thank the dog

;Well done ["Kill the beast," Dec. 28]. But we shouldn't thank Gets-Low for anything. We should thank David Strong. Had he not had the backbone to pick up dog flop and toss it into his inconsiderate neighbor's face, then Guetzloe would have had no police report to smear Strong with on behalf of his sleazy cabal.

;Or maybe we should just thank the dog.

;Bob Morris, Orlando

;;Universally disappointed

;Thank you for the article "Come all ye tourists," [Dec. 21] regarding our theme parks. I agree with your comments, especially about Universal. I am sending a copy of a letter I sent to Universal about their price increases. I believe this might answer some of your points about why they are not renewing or trying to update their rides or bring new shows.

;They do not care because they are too busy planning more price increases, and they way they charge for food inside the park is outrageous.

;I complained to them twice about using money to provide a shuttle and their response is to send me a free parking ticket for one-time usage! Universal is not really planning on investing money on their park or providing the public with better transportation.

;Their goal is to squeeze everybody that visits the park out of their vacation money. They really do not care about investing money on new rides or better shows to keep the audiences interested in coming back. Every time I plan to visit with my daughters, even though I am an annual pass–holder, I know that we will end up spending no less than $50 on parking, food, drinks, etc.

;I really don't believe I will renew my pass next year because every time we go back there are more price increases and less shows, or the rides are not working right.
