Elliott’s Public House, in what was the former Brian’s Restaurant, holds its soft opening this week. The space has undergone extensive renovations and expanded into the former Nora’s Wine & Cigars space, which will eventually become a bar. Chef-owner Karl Elliott’s menu features everything from curry lamb meatballs and cassoulet to fish and chips and fresh oysters. Meanwhile, the new Nora’s Sugar Shack opens on Virginia Drive later this month.

RusTeak Restaurant & Wine Bar in College Park plans its soft opening Sept. 15, says owner Brian Buttner. The grand opening is slated for Oct. 3 – the same date the original RusTeak opened in Ocoee.

Also in College Park, the ball is rolling again on the PR’s Taco Palace on Smith Street. The owner cleared some hurdles with the city, so look for a late October/early November opening.

Updates from the Curry Corridor on South OBT: Kabob King has opened in the same plaza as the DMV; Bombay Bazaar, once situated next to Ahmed Restaurant, has moved a block or so south near the intersection of Whisper Lakes and OBT. Next door, Bombay Grill has set up shop.

This year’s Epcot Food & Wine Festival will feature an after-hours street party from 9:45 p.m.-1 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday during the festival. Cost is $79 plus tax and as long as you enter after 9 p.m., you won’t have to pay park admission.
