Even though Oregon State University claims to have invented a strain of seaweed that tastes like bacon when it’s cooked, we’re still wary of promises from the Internet in the wake of Prime Day. You can still make your seaweed – or anything, really – taste like bacon with this somehow-vegan mix of salt and spices concocted by Poca’s Hottest. Head (Chief?) Poca, Wendy Davis, is currently in talks with Winn-Dixie to bring her sauces and bacon salt to supermarket shelves throughout Florida, which would make baconing up that caprese salad (seriously, try that) even easier – easier than snagging patented kelp from Oregon, at the very least.
