Nestled between the Mennello Museum of American Art and Princeton Street stands a giant squid of an oak tree more than 200 years old. Its branches, huge swooping arches, are so long that they actually reach 200 feet into the sky and back down to the earth again, then start to make their way back up toward the sun. This ancient being has been here since the signing of the Constitution. Check out the Significant Trees Map on the city’s website if you want to hug all of the big trees in one day.
