Back in the saddle

After amusingly anointing himself underdog, Orange County Chairman candidate Mel Martinez re-emerged this week as the consensus choice favored by a trio of mayors including Glenda Hood. That followed revelations in the Sentinel -- which Martinez wouldn't discuss -- about phone calls to possible voters branding opponents Fran Pignone as a millionaire tax cheat and John Ostalkiewicz as one who abetted pedophiles. Guess this dog bites, too.
