Laura Hodos, Luerene Herrera and Robyn Pedretti lead an all-girl cabaret to help send Mark Baratelli's Improv Cabaret to FringeNYC
When a woman pays for a man’s trip to New York, it’s “like.” When five women do it, it’s “love.” Tonight, a quintet of indulgent songbirds prove their affection for fellow performer Mark Baratelli, as they lend their voices to the cause of sending his Improv Cabaret show to the Big Apple. Hostess for the night of cabaret melody is Robyn Pedretti, star of Mad Cow’s 2006 Bad Dates and the 2007 Orlando Fringe hit The Screw You Revue (currently enjoying an encore run at Theatre Downtown). Joining her are vocalists Laura Hodos, Luerne Herrera, Summer Aiello and Meghan Moroney (she of the Doodie Humor troupe, which is also in the midst of a Fringe return bow at Theatre Downtown). Proceeds will enable Baratelli to bring his improv act to Fringe NYC (starting Aug. 10), where it would appear alongside Michael Wanzie’s Ladies of Eola Heights. Know what we love? Cross-referencing!
