Q: How many stoners does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: None. That's why they've got a lighter.
On Nov. 19 at Tanquerays, the People United For Medical Marijuana (PUFMM) are kicking off a - get this - 10 DAY FESTIVAL "designed to energize and educate the public to the benefits of medical marijuana, as well as to debunk the myths and demonization that surround it." (like my joke)
In other words, I suspect, far less talk about "nature's gift to us" and much more about "cancer relief." Sounds fun!
PUFMM's (really guys?) actual agenda is to collect "nearly 700,000 signatures from registered Florida voters to support a constitutional amendment on the 2010 ballot" to allow the peaceful growing and assigning of prescription pot. You know, like California. And Colorado. And Michigan. Wow, Michigan's more progressive than us! And apparently, it works.
Performances will include Shak Nasti, Kaleigh Baker, funkUs, Curious Circus, Bughead, JahVision, Routes Music, a Zeppelin tribute band and others.
