Poor cassette tapes. Of the few people who buy music anymore, even old-ass vinyl gets more love than cassettes' mini-reel-to-reel action.
One Orlando man thinks that's wrong and is standing up for the little jammers. Hip-hop producer Amable, of the Strange/Gibberish crew we told you about before, has just released a beat tape – that's literal. A tape of his beats – at www.sassbologna.com for $6 a pop.
Proving he's concerned for his digital-only peoples, he's including with each cassette a link to mp3s of the tracks as well.
Some of the beats can be heard at Amable's MySpace page, like the spaced-out "Strange Friend" or the schizophrenic "Sway." But you can only hear the chilled-out romanticism of "Remember" below. Or if you buy the tape. That, too.
