The ride will close January 4 and won’t reopen until at least June 2.
Frozen Ever After
will open this spring in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. The Frozen-themed boat ride will also open with a new meet-and-greet and retail outlet in an expansion that fills both the former Maelstrom boat ride and the World Showcase expansion plot in-between Mexico and Norway.
Frozen is only expected to draw larger crowds to Epcot and with one of the most popular rides in the park closed, many have expressed concerned for the evening crowds after the ride heavy part of the park, Future World, closes. Future World typically closes at 7 p.m., a full two hours before the park closes. Soarin’ and Test Track, the park’s two most popular rides, remain open until 9 p.m.
To help disperse the crowds that are usually in line for Soarin’, Epcot will now keep the majority of the Future World attractions open after their 7 PM closing time.
Starting January 4th, Living with the Land, Circle of Life, Journey Into Imagination, and Pixar Short Film Festival will remain open until park close.
As previously mentioned
, when Soarin’ reopens in June it will house a third theater and a new digital HD projector system
that was recently installed in the California Soarin’ attraction. The new film "Soarin’ Around the World" is expected to be featured at the Orlando Soarin’ either with the opening or soon after.
At Epcot, Disney World’s second-busiest theme park, one of the most popular rides Soarin’ is about to close for a major expansion and updating.
