SeaWorld Orlando's Sky Tower
According to WESH, who is currently filming a live broadcast of the whole ordeal,
passengers have been stuck for over two hours in the 400 ft. observation tower. SeaWorld has stated that everyone is safe, but there has been no word yet on what caused the malfunction on Sky Tower, which was built in 1973.
Right now, crews are prepping a cage that we can only assume the passengers will eventually be loaded into.
To pass the time, some of the stranded/bored SeaWorld guests are tweeting about the whole experience.
You can also watch this Periscope video of Michel G. Moffatt
, who documented getting rescued and lowered down in the EMT cage. It's pretty nuts.
We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
The Sky Tower touched reached the ground safely with passengers safely, according to SeaWorld. "The Sky Tower cabin is now on the ground and all guests and team members have exited safely. The SeaWorld guest services team and onsite medical personnel worked closely with individual guests to address their immediate needs and assist them in any way possible. Sincerely, SeaWorld Parks & Resorts Orlando Public Relations."
The passengers were stuck for more than 3 hours.
