Orlando City is hoping to bring Real Madrid star and Ballon d'Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo to Central Florida.
The MLS club's majority leader, Flavio Augusto Da Silva, recently told Marca
that the "greatest player in the world" is his main target.
"Hopefully, we can sign him for this upcoming season. We've always heard that he'd like to come to the United States to play," said Silva to Marca
"Physically, he's more complete than [Lionel] Messi, and he'd make more of an impact on a marketing level in MLS than the Argentine. We'd sign him without thinking about it."
If this actually happens, Ronaldo would join the roster with former teammate Kaka, who recently pointed out that he was a better player
than Cristiano and Lionel Messi while in his prime.
Orlando City is currently sitting in 7th place in the Eastern Conference.
