Next Thursday, August 13, the health food grocer will host their first ever "Dorm Room Cook-Off” challenge. Two chefs, armed only with $20 and your average dorm cooking utensils, will face off to see who can make the best of three dishes for about $6.33 a meal.
If you had asked us how we would spend $20 as a college student our money would be on ramen and coffee, but the Whole Foods at Phillips Crossing has a different answer.
The only thing that seems harder to believe than you can cook three healthy meals for $20
, is you can cook three healthy meals with ingredients from Whole Foods for $20
, but we will suspend our disbelief until we see the food for ourselves.
The challenge will begin at 6:30 p.m. on August 13. Check their site
for more details.
Whole Foods wants to help all of you students out there avoid the dreaded "Freshmen 15" by showing you what it takes to eat well.
