There are so many ways to stretch your creative muscles at this nationwide event on Saturday. At the Orlando Ballet School’s studios, 30 free classes in 16 different dance styles – hip-hop, ballet, jazz, Latin, more – are offered throughout the day to dancers of every ability level and age, from 3 years old to 100. Or, hit the Cultural Park (that green space at 530 E. Princeton) between 8:30 and 11 a.m. to learn a dance routine truly anyone can perform, choreographed by the So You Think You Can Dance team – stretching and cardio precede the actual dancing. If you can’t take part on your feet, you can still join Thomas Thorspecken’s Sketchcrawl; meet up at 8:30 a.m. in the Cultural Park and capture people twirling and jumping and jazz-handsing on paper. (Search “World Wide SketchCrawl 48” on Facebook for details.) And if you’d just rather watch than participate, catch dance performances at the Venue (Breach, by contemporary company Tajma), the Dr. Phillips Center (Flow, a yoga- and acrobatics-inspired dance recital and piano concert) or the Wayne Densch Center in Sanford (Orlando Bellydance Performance Co. in Dance Fantasia). Everybody dance now!
