It was only a matter of time before someone realized that Orlando’s burlesque scene was missing something: that is, a Wes Anderson-themed burlesque show. Polylust Burlesque to the rescue! For two evenings, the city’s radical, body-positive “queerlesque” troupe will transport audiences to the Grand Polylust Hotel (a play on Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel
, in case that wasn’t clear), “a fine purveyor of ass, sass and class.” The troupe promises to show you what happens behind closed doors and promises handcuffs, cheese curls on a silver platter and a complimentary twink on your pillow at check-in. The show takes place Monday, July 6, and Friday, July 10. If you like the Grand Polylust so much the first time that you need to come back for another visit, you can get $2 off your entry fee on Friday night by showing your wristband from the Monday show. Now that’s customer service!
