To celebrate World Food Day (there they go again, with these made up holidays), WalletHub, a financial website, analyzed 150 U.S. cities to figure out which on was the most economical foodie city in the country. Guess what, Orlando? WE WON!

Yes, according to this totally scientific, made-up-holiday-based research, Orlando landed at No. 1 on list, followed by Grand Rapids, Michigan and Madison, Wisconsin. Stuck at the bottom of the list? Henderson, Nevada, the suburban paradise situated in the same county as Las Vegas.

To determine the rankings, Wallet Hub took into consideration each city's "wallet wellness" (an number based on grocery cost, beer and wine price, number of affordable restaurants with 4.5+ stars, sales tax and hospitality tax) and the diversity, accessibility and quality of food.

We know we've got it awesome food-wise in Orlando, but it's nice to get a little credit from other sources. Especially coming straight after the news that one of our favorite restaurants in the City Beautiful (that also happens to have a pretty cheap and tasty happy hour) was recognized as one of the best new restaurants in the entire country by Esquire. And just last year, three Orlando restaurants made it onto Urbanspoon's "Best Cheap Eats in the U.S. list."

So, major congrats to Orlando and all the amazing, affordable eateries that make up our food culture.
