If you like to get down with a bowl of macaroni and cheese, you may wanna get your ass over to the Orange County Convention Center for the O-Town MacDown on Saturday. Give Kids the World is hosting its first annual macaroni and cheese cooking competition with proceeds benefiting children with life-threatening illnesses.

Competing in the cheesy competition will be local chefs, both professional and amateur, including representatives from the Crooked Spoon, Taverna Opa, Cave Inn BBQ and more. They'll all be dishing up the noodly deliciousness, of which you can eat as much as you want (until it runs out) during the five-hour event. While we're perfectly happy to taste all the traditional macs in a bowl, we're hoping some of the chefs throw a little bit of creativity into the competition. Macaroni and cheese burritos, anyone? Or how about mac and cheese in cone?

Judges Emily Ellyn, Orlando Sentinel's Heather McPherson, WDBO's Joe Kelley, SeaWorld Executive Chef Hector Colon, Louis Perrotte of the American Academy of Chefs Hall of Fame and Disney Chef Michael Bersell will be awarding prizes in various categories including, of course, "Best Mac-n-Cheese."

In addition to all the cooking and eating, there will be a variety of entertainment at the event. Musicians, magicians and imrov artists will intermix with cooking demonstrations by chefs Emily Ellyn, Jillian Hopke, Maira Isabel, Jody McLeod and John Radcliff. There will also be tons of activities to keep the swing-set crowd busy. You can check out the entire lineup of fun stuff on the MacDown's website.

To truly celebrate this glorious all-you-can-eat mac-n-cheese occasion, you should probably be wearing this shirt from The Mountain, which really says, "I love noodles and I love cheese and I am not at all ashamed." (Nor should you be.)
