12 places to watch the World Cup in Orlando

The world cup is set to begin in less than ten days! (June 12 through July 13th) In order to prepare you “footie” fans, we’ve compiled a list of bars to catch the game at. We’ve even gone to the extent of grabbing the World Cup schedule and the happy hours, so you can pick the best match for your games of choice!

Bull & Bush Hidden away in the Milk District by the Executive Airport is where you’ll find one of Orlando's best British Pubs. Celebrate the World Cup how it was intended; with a tall glass of beer, in this case, Guinness. CaddyShanks Virtual Golf and Sports Bar With flat screen TVs surrounding the entire space, and over 150 craft beers, this bar is a solid place to park it during the World Cup games. And if you get bored, partake in one of the establishments gaming set ups they have available: racing, golf, Wii sports. The Celt Restaurant & Irish Pub   If you’re serious about watching the World Cup, this is the place for yo. Clearly this is a place for Futball fanatics even when it’s not a World Cup year. Hagan O’Reilly’s Irish Pub and Restaurant Hagan’s is an Irish haven With a happy hour that starts an hour before any of the earliest game (noon) in Winter Garden for all you World Cup fans out that way. Finnhenry’s Pub If you’re trying to catch a match downtown, why not check out Finnhenry’s Pub?. It’s the Irish bar you’d expect, slightly dark, full of darts and lots of whiskey. Odin’s Den Wanting more of a local dive bar atmosphere to catch the games in? Come get a beer at Odin’s, located in Maitland, off Howell Branch Rd. P.R.’s Taco Palace This place doesn’t seem as Tequila heavy as the other ones but with a happy hour that starts before noon, and ends after eight hours, we can’t think of a better place to drink and cheer. Jake and Micky’s If you’re over on the east side of Orlando by U.C.F., consider popping into Jake and Micky’s for a four or six o’clock match, that way you can hit up their happy hour and land yourself a $3 pint of Guinness to enjoy the game with. World Cup Watch Party @ Wall St. Plaza Looking to cheer on the home team? Turn to the Wall St. Plaza’s block parties, hosted for the opening match and then each USA game. With giveaways for each USA  game, it’s never been more beneficial to be patriotic.  Block parties start an hour and a half before each  game. Avenue Gastrobar Proudly broadcasting every game on HDTV’s and a projector screen, come into Avenue Gastrobar wearing your teams jersey for one free drink! Frank & Steins With beer specials from the countries playing each round, Frank & Stein’s is definitely the most well rounded place to catch the cup this go-around. Hours: 11a.m-2a.m. Happy Hours: 3-7p.m. Mon-Fri Location: 150 S. Magnolia Ave, Orlando, Florida 32801

Yard House Orlando There are 150 beers on tap here (drool) and televisions visible from everywhere in the building.  Celebrate with one of the Brazilian-inspired cocktails: Citrus Agave Caipirinha, citrus agave and cachaça; Brazilian Mai Tai, cachaça and Zaya dark rum; Rio de Janeiro Mule, cachaça, citrus agave, lime, ginger ale and fresh mint. If that list overwhelmed you, you might be more of a solitary creature, in which case feel free to hole yourself up at home with a live stream of the games. Just make sure you stockpile your drinks and chips so you never have to leave your cave. (Maybe grab a Vuvuzela online for nostalgia’s sake, they’re cheap now a days.)
