The play’s conceit is that, somehow or other, the two friends find themselves marooned on a desert isle and now must pass the time playing childish games, talking about nothing important, and generally indulging in uneventful and meaningless pursuits.
While Windler and Kuwabara have tried to beef up their weak and uninspiring script with physical comedy, their slapstick is often ineffectual and poorly crafted. This work, though well-intentioned, and during its few sweet moments, mildly charming, is not really a play for an adult audience – the Kids’ Fringe would have been a much more suitable venue. —Al Krulick
