Picture this: beautiful models holding powerful weapons, yet they’re the ones wanting to be shot – with a camera, that is. We’re talking about the Murder City Photography Pinup Shoot, which benefits local photographer Barry Kirsch’s Raise Your Weapons Project, which supports anti-war photography. Photographers will flock to the 25 acres at Danville Bed & Breakfast in Geneva, which will be equipped with 20 scenes featuring authentic World War II airplanes, vintage 1940s jeeps and complete airplane hangars (not to mention hot pinup models). However, you don’t have to wield a camera to attend – the event is open to the public, but the use of flash photography is prohibited. The City Eats food truck serves up munchies throughout the afternoon, and we encourage you to dress up in your own vintage duds, if you’d like. Who knows, maybe you’ll be featured as a civilian in this World War II time warp? – Shelby England
