It's time once again for one of my favorite times of the year: 31 Days of Oscar, on Turner Classic Movies.
Each year, the cable net ends their programming season with a month full of Oscar winners, from recent films to films from the 20s, Oscar winners all.
From now until March 2nd, it's an all out onslaught of a brilliant ride through film history, hosted by Robert Osborne. This year's theme is geography, and tonight's highlights of Mexico are John Huston's The Treasure of Sierra Madre, and Sam Peckinpah's The Wild Bunch at 10 and midnight respectively. Tomorrow's destinations are Colorado and India, all day Sunday and Monday are England.
Al Bundy would love this idea.
As I said last year, if you don't have a DVR, you might want to invest in one because it's truly a magnificent schedule, but one that is impossible to keep up with.
You can see the full schedule on TCM.
